Ricard Jorge

Ricard Jorge is a Spanish illustrator based in Barcelona. His geometric, bold and minimalistic stylefollows the legacy of art deco and the international style in graphic design.

Ricard Jorge´s work is characterized by taking all his artwork to the minimum expression by getting rid of the needless and letting the basic shapes, lights and the essence of things to bloom. Using just the elements needed, the spectator could perfectly understand every single element of his compositions. And could give a very realistic or schematic look depending on the purpose of the commission.

He can describe himself as a creative illustrator being able to add conceptual tweaks to his illustrations to dare the observer. Adding layers to his illustrations. His work solves communication needs in several fields like advertising, editorial, branding illustration, website communication and infography. Ricard Jorge graduated in Elisava school of design. Since 2007 he has been working as designer and lead illustrator at Heystudio. Before jumping into the illustration world solo and becoming a freelance illustrator in 2017.

During 10 years of experience in illustration and graphic design, he has worked for international clients such as Coca-cola, Apple, Seat, Pepe Jeans london, The wall street journal, The Guardian, Paypal, Monocle, ESPN and collaborations with ad agencies as BBDO, Saatchi, BETC or DDB.

Besides his commercial profile, Ricard enjoys part of his time teaching illustration and AI tools at IDEP and VISIONS.
